According to the Yahoo! Search blog at www.ysearchblog.com, this morning marked the most recent update in Yahoo! Search result pages.

Priyank Garg from Yahoo posted the following information on the blog early Wednesday morning…

We rolled out some changes to our index and ranking algorithm last night. So, as you know, throughout this process you may see some changes in ranking as well as some shuffling of the pages included in the index. This update should be complete very soon.

Reactions seem to be mixed in the popular communities like WebmasterWorld and Digital Point. Even the comments on the Y! Search blog flow both ways with regards to the update.

I’ve seen some shuffling since the update began. At first, it seemed like eBay was owning the Yahoo SERPs like Wiki owns Google. Since then though, I’ve seen that some of the results really have been cleaned up a bit.
