Google: Fueled By Growth and Greed

Google: Fueled By Growth and Greed

I’m not going to sit here and offer my thoughts on Google’s acquisition of DoubleClick for more than three billion dollars. Everyone and their mother has already been there, done that, and dissected the deal on the heels of NYC’s SES. Today though, I’m left feeling a bit excited about Google’s failures and inabilities.

Ask.com to “Create the Most Powerful Algorithm in Search”

Ask.com to “Create the Most Powerful Algorithm in Search”

Ask.com hasn’t been on the radar for many SEO’s in quite some time. Despite that fact, Ask.com represents a large search portal with a defined demographic of users. Barry Schwartz reports to us over on Search Engine Land that Ask.com is creating a new algorithm to power their search results… and it’s code name is Edison. Google Local: Forcing Search Corrections Without Notice

Google Releases PC Version of AdWords Editor 3.0

Google Releases PC Version of AdWords Editor 3.0

My professional New Year’s Resolution, if there ever were one, was to begin to understand and use PPC more on a regular basis.  To date, I’ve strictly been an organic SEO guy.  While I have an AdWords account, it took my downloading the new editor to really begin to find the PPC game “fun” again. In short, the new editor offers minor improvements over the previous version.  As the AdWords Blog summarizes, the new features include: Add or edit site-targeted…
